Why choose Digital Studio?
We have over 20 years of product photography knowledge with 5 Star rated reviews on both Google and Yelp.
What sort of camera do you use and what are their resolutions?
The majority of our projects are shot with a medium format PhaseOne digital back 5100 X 5100 pixels or 17β X 17β @ 300 DPI. We do offer a Better Light camera system that yields 9,000 x 12,000 pixels or 30″ X 40″ @ 300 DPI should you need files that big.
What is the process?
Our process is simple, Fill out the online complimentary photography proposal form on our CONTACT US page and answer a few basic questions. We will respond with a written proposal. If you agree with the terms we would schedule your next photoshoot.
Do I have to attend the shoot?
We always prefer that clients be present during the shoot to approve the images as they are being shot. Did we mention free garage parking? If a client canβt be present you may drop off your products off at our San Francisco location OR Contact us and I will send you information on how to ship your items to my home.
How far in advance should I book a shoot?
Generally 2-3 weeks in advanced but sometimes current clients do need to reschedule so dates do tend to open up.
Do you shoot at your customers location?
If you have a large number of products, sometimes it makes sense to photograph them at your location.
We would just need an area of about 20β X 25 feet of space to work in with high ceilings, if possible.
How many shots can be done during a normal low styling session?
On average, when booking 1/2 day shoot we tend shoot about 30-50 product shots.
On average, when booking a full day shoot we tend shoot about 50-100 product shots.
We do our best to make the shoots run as efficient as possible but It all depends on clients approval on screen during the shoot and the condition of the items received.
What is your turnaround?
If no further edits are requested, then generally by end of day.
For projects 50 images or more, that require clipping paths services, we generally need 48 hours for services to be completed.
What are your payment terms?
We invoice you before sending you the final images. Once payment is received images are released.
For larger companies we offer NET30 with an approved credit application.
Why are photographers so expensive?
If you feel photographers are expensive wait till you hire an amateur. π All kidding aside, a professional photographer uses years of photography knowledge to generate you more sales over the lifetime of your product.
