Commercial Wine Photography – Rare 2001 La Tàche bottle
Digital Studio was commissioned to photograph a high-end wine bottle located in Napa, California. The wine in question was La Tache, a prestigious Pinot Noir produced by the Domaine de la Romanee-Conti winery in Burgundy, France.
The objective of the shoot was to create a wrap for a delivery van belonging to Cwine.com, a company based in Napa. The shoot was conducted in a warehouse to ensure optimal lighting and control over the environment. However, it was away from the picturesque landscapes and rolling hills that Napa is known for.

As with any product photo shoot, the team had to plan ahead to ensure that they had the necessary equipment and supplies. We had to consider the limitations of their cargo van and make sure that they had everything they needed for the shoot.
Shooting with a client can present challenges, such as bad weather, lighting issues, or logistical problems. However, the photographer, creative team, and client worked together to overcome any issues that arose and adapt to unexpected circumstances.
In conclusion, the shoot for the La Tache wine bottle was a challenging and exciting project. The experience highlighted the importance of planning, collaboration, and adaptability in a successful shoot. As a humorous takeaway, it is always best to avoid sweating in front of a client while holding a very pricey bottle of wine in your hand!
